Back to School
For those of you who know me well, you all know that I have a minor obsession with all things concerning paper goods, desk supplies and accent pieces among the hundred of pens and pencils I collect (this also includes every sharpie that's ever been made, crayons and colored pencils)! So what are you most excited about getting for back to school shopping? A few of my favorite pieces - the little squirrel tape dispenser I couldn't resist at Anthropologie, this super cool elephant letter opener I found on Etsy, and lets not forget the sweet Note to Self Ipad Case I stumbled across over at Kate Spade! Now, it's time to get serious, I'll be starting my Masters in Library and Information Science Program this fall, anyone else starting grad school this year?! How do you decorate your desk, I'm oh so curious?!

Weekend Wrap Up...
Lazy weekends include sleeping on the couch with your dogs, watching the Olympics, thumbing through magazines and sipping on wine, rearranging your jewelry, snacking on popcorn and jelly beans and spending my summer in bando tops only. How was your weekend?

Friday Mornings...
I'm not going to
lie, these past few weeks have been pretty low key and I'm enjoying every
minute of it. For the past week, my brother and sister have been in town and it's so nice to be at home, cook a family meal and hang with my family. I'm hoping you all do the same, stay home with your loved ones and spend some quality time with that someone special, even if that means its just you and your fur baby.

Pretty Pink Things
Lately I've been drawn to neutral and light pink shades in just about everything - nail polish, t-shirts, ballet flats, even my makeup has been more natural as of late. I've been eyeing this petticoat at American Apparel for a while. So three weeks ago when I drove to Victoria Gardens, I decided to drop by American Apparel and bought it!
P.S. by the way twirling in this is so fun!

Leading Ladies
Five Things You Must Know About Lee Krasner:
1. Graduated from the Women's College, The Cooper Union, a privately funded college (that was known for their science and art programs) in 1929.
2. Studied and worked with Hans Hofmann, who introduced her to the study of cubism and artists like Picasso and Matisse.
3. During her career, Krasner actually cut and took a part her paintings and arranged them into collages or would scrap them altogether. Because of this, there are very few whole paintings left of he work.
4. Although married to the famous artist Jackson Pollock, Krasner continued to sign her work as L.K.
5. What I love most about Krasner and Pollock; throughout their marriage and career, they gave each loving support and reassurance in each other's work when their paintings were not publicly appreciated.
