Thanksgiving is most definitely my favorite holiday (besides Halloween) not only for the delicious food but this time of year always makes me slow down and realize what's most important in my life. Growing up, Thanksgiving meant driving an hour to my aunts house where she made an incredible spread of food. I'm sorry to say but no-one can touch my aunt's cooking. My aunt Jackie and my mom should have seriously opened a small restaurant years ago! For the last five years since I have been away at college I have been going to boyfriends families dinners or the cafeteria Thanksgiving dinner and they just didn't cut it. This year I'm so excited to be going home and have an Aunt Jackie Thanksgiving. My favorite dishes include my mom's famous broccoli and rice casserole, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and (my grandma's homemade) gravy, tons of buttered rolls, turkey, turkey, turkey and my grandma's famous pumpkin pie! What are you all doing for this Thanksgiving Holiday?
