Self Care Friday

What a week! On top of the suicides of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain, it's been an emotional week - two high profile deaths, one being near and dear to my heart and a few personal struggles I've been dealing with. What everyone needs is to hug and kiss someone and have a night in.

Self Care Friday

Happy Friday! Since Coachella is in it's first week, I plan on being far away from the festival since it's in my hometown. I'm spending the day with a coworker and socializing it up and networking with other fab ladies at the Create and Cultivate Pop-Up at the Ace tomorrow. Besides that I'm indulging myself with a fancy grilled cheese dinner and trying to get on that spring cleaning. See you next week :)

Self Care Friday

In the last few weeks, I have created five new programs at my library and since my mind has been running a mile a minute, I've been coming up with new ideas and posts to incorporate into the blog as well. More on that a little later though. To switch up Friday posts, I'm adding a new morning series, Self Care Friday! So dish on your favorite products and tell me what you're doing on a Friday night in! Now that I'm 30 and staying in on a Friday night sounds so much more luxurious than going out, I'm into this new thing called Friday Night Chores. What are your plans today or tonight?

Saturday Happy

Growing up in a household with a mother who had more catalogs than she knew what to do with, I eventually inherited her hoarding of print subscriptions. The amount of time and money put towards magazines and snail mail catalogs may be a tad bit ridiculous but I can't help spending a lazy Saturday afternoon to look through my favorites and highlight things to purchase and add to wishlists. I've been a long time fan of both The Vermont Country Store and Olive & Cocoa, so if you haven't yet gotten to know these sites go ahead and check them out! I've found some great treasure in these two catalogs in particular, do you have a favorite mail ordered catalog?! What's making you happy this week?

Saturday Happy

Have you checked out the latest collaboration between Target and Lauren Bush Lauren's feed project? I've been a long time fan of Lauren's bags and a her mission to feeding the the word through the quality products over on her site. I was ecstatic about her working with Target, creating a reasonably priced line and feeding America. I couldn't help myself but make a few purchases the last time I was in Target, knowing that somewhere in America, I myself contributed to feeding 50 people, how's that for a happy Saturday?! What's making you happy this week?
