this week's favorites...

Halloween Favorites
Disney's Hocus Pocus was a childhood Halloween favorite.
Scream, one of the best creeper classics.
Old and maybe not so scary now but so choice!
No matter how many times I watch Halloween, I still jump.
Stephen King's It starring Tim Curry as the creepy clown is perfect.

When I Grow Up I Want to Be An Archaeologist

When I started college, I thought I wanted to be nurse. But after a history class and sitting in on an Intro to Anthropology, I quickly realized I was in love with history and research. I was lucky my school provided so many Anthro classes since it seems to be one department that keeps shrinking. By second semester of my freshman year, I declared my major in history and a double minor in Anthropology and Art History with the hopes of entering the world of archaeology.

Bundle Up

One thing I absolutely miss about Indiana and New York is the weather this time of year. Now that I am back in California it's not nearly as cold as I'm used to for October. Even when I try to layer light clothes and sport my boots I get strange looks like "what in god's name are you wearing" because it's like ninety degrees in Palm Springs. I'll be wearing shorts and a t-shirt passing out candy to trick-or-treaters and thinking about the cool Indiana fall days.

this week's favorites...

Wake up to a beautiful and crisp fall morning in Vermont.
Venture down an old winding path in Indiana during a quiet afternoon.
Float along with your lover in New York on a perfect fall day.
Walk along the Colorado mountains for mid morning stroll.
Get lost for a day in Maine and take in these perfect days of Fall.

Five things you must know about Lauren Bush Lauren

2. Has modeled for Tommy Hilfiger, Abercrombie and Fitch while also working with Issac Mizrahi, Zac Posen as well as other designers and recently came out with her own fashion line, Lauren Pierce.
3. Graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Anthropology.
4. She has been a vegetarian since the age of four.
5. And last but not least, she would rather go bowling with David and their friends at the Brooklyn Bowl than hit the red carpet.

Alexa Chung For Madewell

I absolutely adore Alexa Chung. Not only has she been the talk of the town recently but she is just the epitome of a classic beauty and the fashion modern girl. From growing up in the small village of Privett in East Hampshire, England to being a fashion icon, Alexa is definitely making a name for herself in the fashion industry. Beginning her modeling at a young age she has been the cover girl for Pepe Jeans, Superga, DKNY and Lacoste and is set to be the host of the new PBS show Thrift America which is to premiere this fall.
