The back corner of my bedroom right next to the window is my favorite spot when I want to curl up with a good book, catch up with my favorite blogs, take a catnap and do schoolwork. And since I refer to this small corner as my little nook, I like it looking neat, clean and pretty. These are just a few of my favorites and essentials that are sitting on my nightstand. This Jane Austen candle is a must and a fantastic small gift for a friend. What is on yours?
With so much home inspiration from magazine clippings, home design books and home improvement bloggers, my mind is in many directions when it comes to my home. I wish I could hire an interior decorator to help me make decisions and find what my style truly is. Until then, I'm totally loving the living space in this brownstone :) Any recommendations or suggestions in a right direction?
After a very successful day of games, scary stories and giving away prizes for the best costume at this weekend's Halloween festival held at the library, I was excited to have a low key Sunday morning. With a few crafts in mind, I had a few hours to play with glitter and a bag full of baby pumpkins. Although my home craft corner may be small, I always make sure to have this, these and a pair of nice scissors on hand. And since you can never go wrong with glitter, I found this simple, easy and glam way to decorate pumpkins this year. With a lot of home do-it-yourself projects in the works, Raise has become my new favorite internet find. With holidays and birthdays sneaking up, I'm finding gift cards are the way to go. Now I can spend my weekends decorating/working on crafts and projects. If you are in need of ideas for gifts but have no idea what to do or where to go, check out all the great brands that are featured on their site.

All my mind wants to think about lately is home improvement and do it yourself projects. I've been watching HGTV marathons when going to sleep, referring to all my home/decor books and thinking how to make my space my very own. I'm finally getting around to arranging my tiny kitchen, finding a way to make the bathroom a place of zen and browsing the floral shops. What home projects are you working on?
In the mood for complete relaxation and a trip where I can spend hours in museums, food markets, cathedrals and walking along small and winding European city streets, Italy is calling my name. Calabria, Italy to be exact. A vacation meant for nothing other than soaking up Ancient Roman History, lots and lots of gelato, margherita pizza, contemplating art and being romanced by a beautiful language. Isn't this view gorgeous? What are you dreaming about?
When it comes to Social Media, I am more likely to check what's happening on Instagram than other outlets when on my breaks at work or enjoying my scone time at the cafe. And while I only follow my closest friends, the rest of the people I follow are not celebrities or my favorite athletes. I love to see what's going on behind the scenes of some of my favorite blogs, brands and magazines. These are just a few suggestions I'd like to pass along for anyone new to the platform :)
A few artists I have on repeat while getting ready in the morning and getting around to making new playlists :) What have you been listening too lately?
5. You have to read her very first post, it's about staying in on New Year's Eve. I love it and I hope you do as well. Make sure to check out her blog at A Cup of Jo.
Good morning readers, this week has been packed with projects, excitement, getting up too early and going to bed way to late so I wish you a lovely and hopefully calming weekend. This weekend is also meant to be spent outside playing with your dog, jumping into a pile of leaves and staying up to read scary stories and treating yourself to a candy apple :)
