this week's favorites...

One thing I definitely miss about living where it's cold is wearing all the fun accessories, gloves, scarves, ear muffs, leg warmers...I'm kind of obsessing over gloves right now, what do you think of the last pair, super cute right?! Have a fab weekend loves!

E-A-O

So I went to an all girls camp in the tiniest of towns in the southern most part of Maine and I loved close to every minute of my summers spent there. A few weeks of girl fights and drama ultimately drove me to not wanting to go back the following summer, but at least I have those two summers. They are some of my best memories and I'm so grateful my parents let me live in the Maine wilderness for eight months of my life. A trip is in the works to visit the East Coat and good ol' Walden. Maine you sit in a very special place in my heart!

Friday Mornings

After and eventful, fun and busy, busy, busy week I'm wanting so badly to call it good and relax and relax in a BIG way. I'm wanting to be surrounded by prettiness and tons of fluffy pillows and covers, do you see this little bed-nook I've been dreaming about it all week. I'd like to call in room service because I don't plan on doing a thing this weekend, except for watching a newly ordered Christmas movie, I'm already in the spirit people so get prepared for holiday gift guides, wishlists and other fun holiday posts! Have a good one loves!

I Hope You Eat Your Heart Out

Hands down, my Grandma Dorothy makes the best pumpkin pie.
No one can top hers. I hope you all have a great holiday filled with plenty of turkey, more than one slice of pie and countless buttered rolls. Happy Thanksgiving my friends!

Happy Camper

A few nights ago I came across this site after looking through old pictures of my days at Camp Walden in the little town of Denmark, Maine. Those two summers kind of changed my life and definitely for the better. Because I seriously miss those days I was on the hunt for finding the perfect camp tee. Then I came across Camp and fell in love. For you fellow use to be campers, this site is kind of great!

1. cupcakes
2. a morning jog
3. a glass of wine, maybe two...
4. dinner spent outside (with loved ones)
5. hair cut

7. chocolate with raspberries
8. a manicure

Weekend Wrap Up...

finally it's fall in the desert.
well hello my favorite little red cup.
girls night out with a big bowl of pesto, drinks
and girly gossip.
this is how i roll, leopard, tights and booties.
quick day trip to the ronald reagan presidential
library and museum-a must do people.
fun fact: did you know ronald reagan was a part
of the committee that helped open disneyland
in anaheim in 1955? ron and walt were actually
close buddies!!! this is an original drawing
board, the illustration is of captain hook in
peter pan.
do these look a little familiar to you, they are the
books in the opening credits of these two beloved
disney classics.
after reagan visited ireland, a bar he had been too
was in the process of closing it's door. he couldn't
stand to see it go, so he had the actual bar shipped
to california. it now resides inside the museum.

Friday Mornings

Hello, hello how has everyone's week been?! I just can't believe what has been going on back east, my heart goes out to all of you being affected by this crazy, wacky weather. Despite the disaster of Sandy, don't you just love seeing strangers and neighbors coming together and doing everything they can to help those who have lost so much!  I hope you all have a cozy, comfortable and a safe weekend with close friends and lovers. I'm going to enjoy a quiet weekend sleeping in (don't these covers look super warm and comfy?), listening to rain and a take a day trip to the Ronald Reagan Library this Sunday. Have a safe and warm weekend!

Stephen King Sounds Good to Me

Now while I have enjoyed every moment of my first semester of grad-school I am so ready for a break and by break I mean sitting back in a rocker and getting lost in the fictional world. No more papers, discussions or quizzes. It's been way too long so please give me a good book, a blanket (because it's finally starting to cool down) and a few pieces of chocolate so I can call it a day and enjoy the simple things like reading a little Stephen King, has anyone read 11/22/63, its currently at the top of my list.

To Be A Bridesmaid

So my very best friend is getting married in April and I can't even believe it, where has the time gone?! I don't even know where to begin but the memories with this particular human being are infinite, there are happy memories, sad memories, memories where I'm sure we could have killed each other... well I guess it would be more accurate to say we acted like sisters. You see we lived on the same street growing up and when we made it to the other's house our mother's would wave at each other as a way of saying yea, she made it- because by that time we had already scurried into the house to find scary movies (that were actually too scary to watch) to watch, play ridiculous games or blast the Spice Girls, dress up and dance til our tired little legs gave out.
Now that we're responsible twenty years old and getting married, experiencing big changes and doing other grown-up things, I'm not going to lie I teared up when she asked me to be a bridesmaid. I couldn't tell you if they were tears of joy or tears of knowing Sarah and Chanel's wild escapades were slowly coming to a close, but it hit me like a ton of bricks we're not those little girls any more we're grown up twenty years old who are creating new and big girl experiences. And no matter what situation we get ourselves in, we're the defintion of what a true friendship means, I love my Chanel and I'm so excited for her big day.
Anyways, Amsale is the brand my friend chose for the bridesmaids dresses. Our dress is actually the dress in the middle image and it is going to be in a truffle color, I'm telling you it's the prettiest bridesmaid dress I've ever seen. My friend also has impeccable taste, obviously!
Simply gorgeous!
