Five Things to Know About Rosie Napravnik:

1. At 25 years old, 5'2 and 113 pounds Rosie is the most successful female jockey in the country.

2. At the 137th Kentucky Derby in 2011, Rosie made history and placed in ninth, which makes her the highest finishing woman jockey in Derby history. 

3. Even in today's society, horse racing remains one sport that has been predominately dominated by men for the last hundred years, however it is also one sport that allows men and women to ride in events together. Rosie admits to dealing with male trainers, owners and fellow jockeys who tell her to just go back to the kitchen. She sure is taking the sport to new boundaries...you go girl!

4. In her short profession she has had four serious injuries including a broken leg, collarbone, back and fracturing her wrist. 

5. A few of her winning horses include: Pants on Fire, Shanghai Bobby and Believe You Can.
