Read Constantly

This past trip to New York, I made a peculiar list of things I wanted to do and see. It included a sizable list of bookshops I was determined to find. When I was living in Manhattan three years ago I stumbled across the most charming of bookstores, Crawford Doyle. It was located on the Upper East Side and it was perfect in it's quaint and intimate space. It was complete with a wooden ladder on wheels and the feeling of claustrophobia from books being crammed in every nook and cranny was getting the best of me. I took a sip of water and eventually found some Helene Hanff and Nancy Mitford and walked out a happy customer. This trip, I made it to every shop and book stand I was after and even made it home with a few books I had been looking for. If you're ever on the same mission as I was you must visit, Shakespeare and Co, The Strand, Crawford Doyle, Argosy and the many book stands throughout the city and by Central Park :)
