Growing up in the California desert I never understood why the Coachella Valley was the vacation destination hangout. In my teenage mind, the desert was boring, it was a retirement community and literally the hottest place on the planet. As an adult, the desert is a different place. Home to many festivals like the Coachella Music Festival, art walks, golfing and being surrounded by modern art and architecture, the intimate village like atmosphere in downtown Palm Springs is very alluring.
