I started reading Traveler about a year ago while browsing through the travel and culture magazine section at Barnes and Noble. Up until then, National Geographic Traveler was at the top of my list. Now that I subscribe to the magazine, I'm just now learning they have a podcast!!! If you love all things travel and have a love for exploring new countries, Travelogue is a must for you. So you know the genius who wrote The Fault in Our Stars and Looking for Alaska, John Green? Well I just stumbled across his Crash Courses on his YouTube account, his educational videos are not only informative, they are also highly entertaining and down right hilarious!!! I'm not suggesting you to his site, I'm telling you check him out this instant. You'll thank me later! Anyways, what's making you happy this week?

Public Library Blowout Book Sales are possibly the best thing that could ever happen-books, music and movies for a buck each, well it makes for a perfect Saturday morning. I've been waiting for the November Book Sale for about two months and finally with ten dollars in hand I was on a mission to find some good reads to add to my constantly growing library. As much as it's about finding your next read, it's about the conversation you make with your fellow bookies, suggesting favorites and talking to new and familiar faces, it certainly brings a smile to my face talking about favorite characters and recommending something amazing to a fellow book nerd. Five books and five movies later, I was quite happy with the turn out. What's making you happy this week?!

I've decided to create a new regular posting each Saturday morning, so hear me out and tell me your thoughts. Are you ready for it, I want to know what is making you happy each week; it can be something grandiose like getting a promotion at work, hearing your friend perform with her A Capella group or something as small as your bath time ritual to a new pair of shoes; the point is keeping your mindset in positive state!  I've become a disciple of NPR's Pop Culture Happy Hour and I'm completely obsessed! I can't tell you how much I look forward to the last ten minutes of each episode, everyone goes around the table and discuss what is making them happy that particular week. And since I love it so much I thought why not incorporate it into the blog. 

So what's making me happy this week? I've recently gotten into Felicity...I know I'm about fifteen years late and I can't remember how I decided to get into the show but I did and now I can't stop watching it!  While I'm still waking up and making breakfast, I reserve an hour for myself each morning to watch an episode, I'm only in Season One at the point but I secretly hope Felicity and Noel end up together, ditch Ben and stick with Noel, right?! Now I'm curious what's making you happy this week?!
