One of the best outdoor activities to try out when in the Coachella Valley are the hiking trails! There are literally hundreds of trails that take over the valley, as well as the high desert and the mountain towns up Highway 74. With miles of desert landscape, wild flowers and spotting all sorts of adorable little desert creatures, I'm warning you, you'll become an outdoor addict and explorer in my hometown. Although still popular to hike in our heated summers, hiking at sunrise in the middle of winter in Palm Springs is one natural wonder. A few my favorites include the cross hike and the bump and grind trails. Although I'd like to try out others like Palm Canyon, a few in Joshua Tree, and the most talked about and gorgeous Tahquitz trail. Get your weekender, appropriate shoes and phone, because you'll be taking lots of pictures!
