Of the many reasons why I love Gilmore Girls, there's something so wonderful how the townsfolk of Stars Hallow care about their town so much, they are constantly putting on yard sales, bake sales and knitting to save the town bridge. I know close to nothing when it comes to sewing, which is slightly embarrassing but it's one thing I'd like to try out (post grad school life like trying to find things to fill my time) this year. And since my sister-in-law (and her sister) knit hats for kids, I'm going to at least try to help out. Whether you're a master at knitting or a beginner, why not give back in a fun way.
